Within this project, President Struppa of Chapman University tasked the graphic design department with a design opportunity. He requested a poster for the State of the University commencement. The theme that President Struppa requested was the word “Germinal Ideas”. Germinal ideas is an unborn idea that exists in the living world that we live within. Throughout this project, there were many ideas on how to capture the idea of Germinal Ideas, but in the end, there was only one way to describe it. Within this project, it was most appropriate to describe germinal ideas as energy that flows within one brain and to another brain creating the movement of an idea.
